Donna Meyers


Donna Meyers began her career in 1984 with a Washington, DC based property management firm as a front desk manager. After quickly recognizing her capabilities and potential, she assumed responsibility for the entire collection department within a year. Donna was responsible to integrate the first the first computerized collection and accounting system while the portfolio grew to more than 33,000 units. This system improved the company’s recovery percentage by over 20%. In her continual professional development, Donna became the assistant to the CFO in 1988, while maintaining her management and oversight of a staff of specialized collection representatives.


Based on their success, it soon became clear that there was an industry need for a collection agency specializing in multi-family housing debt. Donna then assumed the position of Director of Credit and Collection for the newly formed FMS, which offered third party collection services to property managers and owners across the country. Under her leadership, Donna implemented an employee and tenant background investigation department, offered training classes in tenant application processing for FMS clients, and generated collections in excess of one million dollars within a year.


Now, FMS is proud to have Donna serve as our Operations Director, as we have developed and evolved into a national full service third party collection agency, background investigation firm, and debt acquisition company, serving over eight hundred clients, with annual collections growing by 50%.


While her fiancée and hobbies (singing, wine-tasting, community service, and travel) keep her well balanced and happy, her focus is to make sure that her clients are paid the monies they are owed.
